We operate according to the principle of Multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is the principle that all the races, sexes, ethnicities and cultures of our world and our communities must be recognized, respected and fully included in our economic and political life.
Recognition requires an objective examination of a people’s history and present. Respect requires seeing those people as contributors to our world and nations as they exists today. Inclusion means that all people from all racial, ethnic, historical and cultural experiences are included in the economic and political life of our nations.
The person with a multicultural perspective hopes that her fellow citizens internalize that recognition and respect for others. Most important, she utilizes that recognition and respect in order to create a better world for all of us. |
